 Seemed like the PERFECT day to fry up a turkey! YUM!

Teddy Bear Show & Tell

Andrew has a teddy bear show and tell tomorrow at school. The teacher asked them to bring in a teddy bear and for us parents to help them come up with a story to share with the class all about their bears.

Andrew chose his Firefighter Build-A-Bear (he calls his "Daddy Firefighter Bear). His reason, "I love my daddy and he is a fireman just like my daddy".  He told me that he wanted to bring his "Mommy Police Bear" to school, too, but his teacher told him he had to choose only one. (apparently the Firefighter supersedes the Police Officer,,,,shocker! LOL)

Here's the book we made :)

I love his school projects! We always have a lot of fun with creative ideas and I run with what his little brain comes up with! We read his book together once it was finished and he goes, "Mom! It's PERFECT!" haha He's a pretty AMAZING little man!

In other news....

Timothy lost his first tooth....which is totally crazy, because he's SO NOT OLD ENOUGH to start losing his teeth! :(

Happy Birthday, Dest!

We were able to celebrate Destiny's 9TH! Birthday this evening!

Andrew and Becca each picked out a little gift especially for Destiny and it was SO SWEET seeing how excited he was to give her his special gift and homemade card (that HE wrapped I might add!) 

My SIL, Jen made this cute heart-shaped cake out of a round cake and a square cake. She got the idea from Pinterest, I guess. She cut the circle in half and puzzled it into a heart shape! Love it and am gonna steal this idea for Valentines day! ***Also, I didn't know that FunFetti frosting came in these cool colors in vanilla flavor....will have to keep an eye out because I dislike adding food coloring....very much! haha 

Fire Station Lunch with Daddy

Beccs and I visited Daddy at the station today :) Love to visit him when he's been away! We always miss him so much and enjoy our little pop-ins! It's also nice to catch up with some of the other firefighter family <3

They were out when we got to the station so Becca had her lunch in the grass and we played tag and talked while we waited for daddy 

 Becca loves checking out the equipment, truck and daddy's room whenever we visit

Growing up with her daddy as her hero is pretty awesome! We love you and are so proud of you and your hard work, daddy! 

 

Kickball!

Kickball Season just started and Andrew had his first game!

We headed over to the park and had a picnic lunch to enjoy the gorgeous weather after the game! 

Soaking it up---

I go back to work for a few days in a row so, I decided to soak up my last day off with my littles as best I could <3

We went on a little easy (aka slow) 2 mile jog and played at the park before taking Drew to school. After dropping Drew off, Becca and I had lunch with my mom and us girls watched a movie (Monster In Paris). My mom came with me to pick Drew up and we got coffees and the kiddos cake pops and hung out at home. The kiddos bonded with gramma while I finished the last of my laundry and other little chores around the house! We loaded up their bikes and went back to my parents and Drew and my dad rode their bikes and Beccs practiced on her new trike. We ended the evening with a visit with Uncle Alex & walked over to GG Hennys and brought dinner and ate at Gramma & Papas. Was a lovely, EASY day :)

Jan. 5th !!!

 Jan. 5th is a very important date in the Family Q household--- We had an amazing family snow day up north with Rebecca for her birthday! We are always super busy the days/weeks leading up to her birthday with it being just a week after New Years and the Holiday craziness, but we are so blessed and I am so Thankful for Jan. 5th...because that date is the day we ALWAYS get away from the city, play in the snow and make the entire day about her.

Becca requested French toast and (in her words) "Lot's of Bacon" for her special bday breakfast. As we were leaving to come back home, the kiddos gave me pouty faces because it was time to go (although they could barely hold back their giggles long enough for me to snap a photo on my phone haha) 

These kids keep a smile on my face! They are at the age now, where they play together and both understand compromise (which is so HUGE!!!) they were so awesome today and listening to the play cracks me up. They stayed in character all morning up to the mountain and they pretended to be characters from Frozen (Even using character names all day instead of their own) and by the end of the night they were playing Frozen/Star Wars/Despicable Me2.... Andrew was Luke Skywalker who accidentally turned into a purple minion and Becca AKA "Anna" (from Frozen) was singing to him to try to turn him back so they could defeat Darth Vader....haha
