Our first DIY project was a MUST HAVE! We installed a Doggie Door for these crazy dogs!
As for now, we put in a standard, double flap dog door. I want to get a cute "wipe your paws" mat and one of those fancy water dishes with the bronze feet with the scrolls, and Dave wants to frame it up from the inside and build a little roof and porch on the outside so it looks like the entrance to a dog house coming off the house. For now, we just have built little stairs with blocks to help them in the house :)
We found these beautiful mosaic tiles that happened to match our kitchen perfectly (At Costco). Labor Day weekend, we installed the backsplash. I love how it turned out but there is still a lot I want to do. Found these bronze outlet covers I want to go around and replace our white plastic ones. Then I found these knobs and I want to add bronze hardware to the cabinets.
We picked out paint and need to get to work painting the kitchen and nook area. We are going to add lighting under the cabinets. When we were at the design center, we chose to DIY our own flooring. I would LOVE to the ceramic tile that looks like slabs of cherry wood...but we'll see what we agree on. We also want to replace the chandelier with a bronze one that is more our style.
Put out my pumpkins and pumpkin-scented candles to try and get my house in the mood for fall :)
