"Rebecca's Random Play"
I am so Thankful for Rebecca's playful self, innocence and happiness. Yesterday, after David took Andrew to school, he and Rebecca came up to my work to visit me and David needed some scope rings. They killed some time and waited for me to get off work and took me to a late lunch upstairs before I got Andrew from school. I love watching her from a distance. Watching her and David walk up from the parking lot is surreal. I thought to myself, "my little baby looks like such a BIG girl!" Then I am struck with the realization that she is a BIG girl. My once teenie little baby girl is almost THREE!!! To think that my youngest child is getting so big kinda hurts my heart.
Later that evening, after dinner, dessert, baths and jammies she looks at me and says, "Mommy, you wanna play with me?" with the cutest little twinkle in her eye. I of course can't say no and am found in her room playing with her play house and other toys....RANDOM toys I might add. I am so thankful today of Rebecca's Random Play because it's a total reminder of how little she actually is. Her thoughts are so pure and innocent and silly and I am so Thankful that I still have such a little baby. This is a new stage of our lives when it comes to our children. There are no diapers in the house. These kids are total independent thinkers who want to do so much "all by themselves", in yet they climb into bed to snuggle at night. So today I am thankful that although our kiddos are getting to be such BIG KIDS...they really are still just innocent babies.
These rooms CRACK me up!
-the food is 10 times bigger than the table and the fridge is so tiny
-up in the attic she had Snow White (in Cinderella's dress) with Rapunzel and some random minion
-there's a room with a giant cupcake that two girly puppies are sharing (alongside the Tin Man and a Strawberry Shortcake character)
-Spiderman is babysitting some giant baby
-A blonde doll with a big head is on the potty....with a cupcake...
-Dora's baby brother is in the stairwell on a rocking horse...
-Princess Sopia's Family....that actually makes sense...
-There's a "Hello Kitty Room"-Lala Loopsie is chillin' in Dora's carseats with some Legoman with a Giant ant on the ground in front of them....
-Casper is haunting the house...
....and probably the MOST RANDOM----a helicopter pilot playing the keyboard guitar with a penguin driving a car in the house....HAHA
